Generational Equity Announces Sale of Waipahu Town Pharmacy to Walgreens

Dallas, TX, October 16, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Generational Equity, a leading advisor to privately held and family-owned businesses for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic growth initiatives, today announced the successful sale of its client, Waipahu Town Pharmacy to Walgreens.

Waipahu Town Pharmacy, retail pharmacy based in Waipahu, HI, was engaged in the sale of prescription drugs as well as over-the-counter medications and health-related items such as wheelchairs, walkers, and commodes. Waipahu Town Pharmacy was acquired by Walgreens, the nation’s largest drugstore, for an undisclosed amount.

Managing Directors, Stephen Crisham and Lori Galloway, with help from Ed Weber, formed the Generational Equity deal team in marketing and negotiating the transaction.

With the acquisition, Walgreens has expanded its services to Waipahu, Hawaii, thus increasing its island presence.

The transaction successfully closed in April 2009.
