Royal Falcon Mining Commences Gold Dig Near Historical Mining Site in Sweden

Royal Falcon Mining LLC has commenced its drilling operation for gold at the copper-gold-zinc Falun Project in Sweden. The drilling site is located around the historical mining centre of Falun. The company, which is managed by Australian company, Golden Rim Resources Limited, was established by PAL Group of Companies and Golden Rim Resources Limited for the purpose of acquiring exploration and mining projects all over the world, with major interest in the North African region.

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, October 17, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Since the drilling operation was initiated on August 27, 2009, four additional targets have been identified, providing further positive progress on the Falun Project, which is part of an agreement, entered into by Royal Falcon Mining. The acknowledgment of the additional drill sites will herald a busier period for the company as the drilling program continues and assessments of the results begin.

Though Royal Falcon is particularly focused on acquisitions in North Africa, the Swedish projects provided quality and potential that persuaded Royal Falcon to enter into a joint venture arrangement with the existing owners of the projects. “At Royal Falcon, we believe there is quite some potential for substantial discoveries near an old mine like Falun’s, which has not been explored for almost two decades. Furthermore, a modern approach to exploration has never been applied to the mineralised system at Falun, so this is an extremely unique project for us.” said Craig Mackay, Managing Director at Royal Falcon Mining.

The Falun Project is located around the historic mining centre of Falun, 200 kilometres northwest of Stockholm. Falun was first mined around 700 AD, and was closed in 1992 after operating for more than 1,400 years.
