Monitored Audio Security Catches Trespassers

Tacoma, WA, October 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Three suspected trespassers were taken into police custody after a school’s Sonitrol Pacific security system detected them October 20.

Operator Bricia Mejia received a system activation from the school just before 5 p.m. and listened to live audio security on site. She heard voices and called officials. Police and the school district’s guard service responded to the call.

Three juveniles ran out of the school when officers arrived. Upon questioning, the three said someone let them into the school previously; however, the school’s security activity record indicated no doors were opened at the times the kids claimed. During a sweep of the school, officers determined the three got inside through a broken window. All three were taken into police custody.

Four suspected trespassers were caught at this same school in June after another Sonitrol Pacific audio security detection.
