Audio & Light Inc. Wins the Annual “Movers and Shakers” Award for 2009

Jim Hoyle, owner of Audio & Light Inc., won the coveted “Movers and Shakers” award this year. He was coached by ActionCOACH Business Coach Ross Cox.

Las Vegas, NV, October 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Jim Hoyle has been the owner of Audio & Light Inc., an audio/visual company that provides custom systems design and installation, event production services and equipment rental services, for about four of the company’s 25 years in existence. He was recently rewarded for his hard work in the business with a “Movers and Shakers” award.

“Movers and Shakers” are annual awards given by Business Leader Media, a regional media organization in the Piedmont area of North Carolina. Nominations are requested based on certain criteria, such as the size of business, growth of the business, accomplishments of business and involvement in the community.

Hoyle’s ActionCOACH Business Coach, Ross Cox, wrote his nomination. Hoyle was one of 25 businesses selected out of over 200 applications.

Hoyle purchased the business from the prior owner in May 2005. With help from Cox, Hoyle has led the company to a 50 percent increase in sales during his first four years as owner. In addition, Cox has coached Hoyle to be on track for an additional double digit increase in sales for 2009. The “Mover and Shaker” award is just icing on the cake.

Audio & Light Inc., based in Greensboro, N.C., uses top-of-the-line equipment systems and employees count on their years of audio and video expertise to create exacting solutions matched to their customer’s needs. The company needs to pay attention to detail for its customers, who include Wake Forest University, accounting firm DMJ, and Tyco Electronics.

Audio & Light Inc. is also a full-service production company providing comprehensive sound, lighting, video, staging and backline gear for concerts, festivals and corporate presentations, among other things. Even several Grammy Award winners have trusted Audio & Light with their performances, including Joan Collins, Boyz II Men, and the Neville Brothers, to name a few.

Cox said Hoyle’s leadership ability combined with his talent as a musician and passion for the arts brings a unique perspective to Audio & Light. He was a “coachable” client, eager to overcome challenges – which probably helped lead him to this success and achievement, as well.

“Hoyle is one of those unique business owners who has a focus and vision for his business driven by a personal passion and searches all avenues for strategies and ideas to continue to move Audio & Light forward to eventually achieve this vision,” Cox said. “His enthusiasm and thirst for learning and growing as a business owner as well as his effective leadership skills are exemplified by the quality of the Audio & Light team of professionals and the success Audio & Light has experienced with his leadership.”

“Based on Jim’s success as a business owner these past four and a half years, the dedication to the arts through his participation and sponsorships and his persistent efforts to be the leading provider of cutting-edge audio-visual solutions in the Southeast, definitely qualifies Jim Hoyle as a ‘Mover and Shaker.’”
