Compassion Australia Benefits from ActionCOACH’s Coaching for a Cause Initiative

ActionCOACH Stephen Kay and Australian CEO of Compassion Australia Paul O’Rourke are collaborating efforts to expand the charity’s reach and visibility.

Las Vegas, NV, October 30, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Compassion Australia isn’t just a non-profit organization for children, it provides development and advocacy programs to support and help educate children, too.

Compassion’s child development programs “minister to the spiritual, economic, social, physical and emotional needs of children throughout all stages of development; from the womb to university,” according to its website.

Compassion programs operate exclusively through local churches in 25 developing countries providing resources, training and expertise to assist in the operation of holistic child development programs.

All programs are child-focused and church-based.

When ActionCOACH announced its Coaching for a Cause program, Business Coach Stephen Kay immediately thought of Compassion.

“I am passionate about Compassion because it is a worldwide organization impacting the world’s poor children,” he said. “It affects over 1.1 million children directly, which has a spill-on effect to many millions.”

Coaching for a Cause is a global program initiated by ActionCOACH, the world’s number one business and executive coaching firm. Several of the company’s Business Coaches are donating their time to coach various charities and non-profits pro bono. The brainchild of the company’s founder and CEO Brad Sugars, the program will help raise at least $2.5 million in additional donations and funds over a six month period, ending March 31, 2010.

“I already am a major sponsor personally, with 320 children of my own,” Kay said. “But more importantly, I am now looking at how I can help others to get involved.”

Being personally involved with the charity already, Kay knew the organization’s infrastructure and standards are very high and consistently rank in the top 1% of charities.

Compassion has 10 partner country offices around the world, which provide the funds, resources, and assistance with program development for the successful implementation of Compassion’s programs in the field, through a variety of marketing campaigns and advocacy initiatives.

Kay will work with Australian CEO of Compassion Australia Paul O’Rourke to leverage Compassion’s goals through Coaching for a Cause.

“I will be looking at how I can connect Compassion, ActionCOACH, churches, schools and the business community together to the benefit of all,” Kay said.

Coaching for a Cause is an innovative, new program from ActionCOACH, the world's number one business and executive coaching firm that makes pro-bono coaching available to charities and non-profits worldwide.
