Sonitrol Pacific Audio Sensors Detect Sledgehammer-Wielding Intruder

Seattle, WA, October 31, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Sonitrol Pacific’s audio security sensors detected suspicious activity and police arrested one suspected burglar at Moe’s Automotive October 29.

Operator Kris Etheridge received the activation of the Sonitrol Pacific security system at Moe’s Automotive and listened to real time audio to verify the alarm. She heard noises indicating glass breaking and called police. Etheridge continued to monitor audio activity from the facility while officers were en route.

Officers arrived with a K-9 unit, and located and arrested the suspected intruder.

Etheridge called the business owner immediately after calling police. Since the business owner was very close by, he beat police to the scene. However, Etheridge cautioned him to wait for police as she could still hear the suspect inside. Officers arrived soon after.

According to the business owner, the suspect, an acquaintance of the business owner, did considerable damage to the facility with a sledgehammer.

“He is a drunk and an idiot, and you guys caught him!”
