Happy-Face is replaced with the new face of the millenium - "Flat-Face"(C)

Rhythmedia Inc., a media and design firm has announced today the launch of "Flat-Face(C)". Flat-Face replaces happy-face as a symbol of hope.

Los Angeles, CA, June 06, 2005 --(PR.com)-- Flat-Face(C) is a graphic design of an expressionless face that represents a numb or "flat" society.

The new Flat-Face(C) symbol can be viewed at:

"Our research shows that the majority of people today are under an enormous amount of pressure in their daily lives" reports E.J. Spink of Rhythmedia. "Happy-face is viewed as ironic and even sarcastic by many. It is supposed to be a symbol of happiness. But that is all it is and the design is tired."

Flat-face has become an instant hit. It represents that numbness that is creeping into society. As Spink explains "We are told not to show emotions. We are bombarded daily about color-coded terrorist alerts, stories of murder, disasters and violence on TV and the internet. It takes a toll on a human and eventually we become "numb" or "flat". We eventually accept everything around us and become ammune to the world". The world of psychiatry is also a part of this 21st century symbol.

"When we are too emotional or have problems dealing with the crazy world around us, we are prescribed medication. Ask anyone who is on anti-depressants how they feel and they almost always answer that they feel nothing - in fact a medicated short-cut to being Flat." The design was created and is owned by Peter Kaz who resides in Canada.

The offical website of Flat-Face(C) is http://www.flat-face.com. A Flat-Face store has also been launched at the website.
