Seneca Rotary Helps Fill Blue Ridge Elementary Library

Seneca, SC, November 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Seneca Rotary Club supports the Seneca area schools in many ways, and this past week they turned another page in the book on their history by donating $250 to the Blue Ridge Elementary School. A new school needs new books and that’s where the Seneca Rotary club stepped in. Ralph Nix – coordinator for the Seneca Rotary Club Literacy project partnered with Angie Garrett from Blue Ridge Elementary school to make it happen.

The Seneca Rotary Club has purchased and donated over 50 books during the past year and they continue to do so. But they also realized they could be more effective by donating the money directly to the school to utilize the schools’ discounts and buying power.

The Seneca Rotary Club has been active in the city of Seneca since 1928 when it was chartered. The main focus of the club projects and fund raisers is to benefit area schools and children. The Seneca Rotary Club is made up of Seneca Area business people and community members who are working together to make Seneca a better place to live. For more information go to senecarotary.org.
