Sonitrol Pacific Audio Sensors Catch Whispering Suspects

Everett, WA, November 25, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Footsteps, whispering, rustling and zipping sounds captured by Sonitrol Pacific security audio sensors lead police to a burglary in progress at a Washington school and officers arrested two people suspected of attempting to steal a metronome November 20.

The sound of footsteps in the school’s music room activated audio sensors just before midnight and Operator Minta Christopherson called a representative from the school to confirm no one was scheduled to be there. She immediately called police. While officers were en route to the school, Christopherson listened to real-time activity on scene, heard faint whispers, sounds of movement and zipping noises.

Police arrived at the school and took two suspected burglars into custody, one adult and one juvenile.

According to police, the suspects got inside the school through a slightly ajar door. They were in the process of taking a metronome from the music room when officers caught them.
