About PLM Families Together:
PLM Families Together (PLMFT) was founded as Pan Lutheran Ministries in 1980 by a group of Wake County Lutheran churches with the mission to provide housing and support to those in need, to involve volunteers, and to advocate with and for homeless people. The main focus has always been on homeless families with children. PLMFT serves local homeless families with the entire continuum of care including, assessment, short-term transitional housing, intensive support services, life skills training classes, children's programming, permanent housing placement, and after-care case management. PLMFT keeps families together by providing individual apartments for each household. With a professional staff teamed with regular volunteers and strong collaborative partners, PLMFT helps families address the root causes of homelessness so that 80 percent have attained and retained permanent housing. Last year, PLMFT housed 129 families, including 254 children. For more information visit: www.plmft.org
