ActionCOACH's Business Coaching Program to Help the United Way of Milford Weather the Economic Storm

Coaching for a Cause is helping non-profits and charities worldwide become the best they can be through pro bono business coaching services that promise real revenue results.

Milford, CT, December 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The United Way of Milford is a grassroots effort by its founders, who wanted to develop a community-wide fundraising campaign to support many different agencies.

As the effects of the 2008 recession deepen, the United Way is finding that it needs to do more work with a limited staff, in an ever-changing philanthropic landscape.

Helping the United Way of Milford weather this economic storm is a global pro bono coaching initiative called Coaching for a Cause, which is sponsored by the world’s leading business and executive coaching company.

The brainchild of ActionCOACH’s founder and Chairman Brad Sugars, the overall goal of the campaign is to help the not-for-profit and charitable sectors around the world raise an additional $2.5 million in funds and donations from October 1, 2009 through March 31, 2010.

The combined value of this service is $1.8 million.

Business Coach Bob Kademian raised his hand to participate in the program and enrolled the United Way of Milford into it.

Kademian has known the President of the organization, Gary Johnson for many years now.

“I had a close association with Gary as we interacted at various Rotary and the Chamber of Commerce meetings in town,” he said. “In the past, I have volunteered to help with fundraising and have also been a motivational speaker for them, so when the Coaching for a Cause campaign was announced, I felt they would be a great fit for it and signed them up.”

Johnson expects this program to help the organization become more efficient and effective in their work and to hopefully raise more money so they can come closer to achieving their fundraising potential.

According to Johnson, the United Way of Milford addresses the human service needs of thousands of people in the community each year.

“My long-term vision for the United Way of Milford is to be able to do just this –meet the human service needs of the people in Milford to the best of our ability,” he said.

Johnson believes the Coaching for a Cause program is magnificent.

“This global initiative has a lot of potential to make non-profits the best they can be,” he said.

Coaching for a Cause is an innovative, new program from ActionCOACH, the world’s number one business and executive coaching firm that makes pro-bono coaching available to charities and non-profits worldwide.
