)-- Ramp RFID has implemented a process temperature monitoring and control solution for construction company Fulton Hogan’s precast facility in Victoria. The solution utilises Identec Solutions ILR technology and is integrated directly into the process control PLC using the Modbus protocol. The PLC controls the application of steam used to cure the concrete during manufacture and is currently used by Fulton Hogan to manufacture of precast tunnel segments for the Adelaide Desalination Project, currently the largest desalination plant in the world.
Nick Miller, Fulton Hogan’s Chief Executive said “the solution provided by Ramp RFID has placed Fulton Hogan at the leading edge of process control technology and reliability in the precast industry. This unique solution allows us to provide customers with superior products and has helped us achieve the very tight tolerances required to supply tunnel segments to projects such as the Adelaide Desalination.”
Kevin Cohen, CEO of Ramp RFID, said “We are always looking at new and innovative ways to help our customers improve their business processes. In this case Fulton Hogan had faith in our ability to deliver a totally unique solution and the results are excellent. We are proud to have developed a world first for RFID process control in response to a demanding requirement. We would like to thank our partners Identec Solutions, global leaders in Active RFID technology, for their support and assistance on this project.”
