Ride the Storm with a Unique Heated Vest from Exo2

Livingston, United Kingdom, July 18, 2005 --(PR.com)-- A new heated unisex vest for bikers has been launched by EXO2, the leader in high tech textiles and personal heated clothing systems. Using a unique polymer based material, the StormRider vest regulates itself at an average temperature of 55OC so will never overheat. An optional controller is also available which enables the rider to precisely control the temperature. The Fabroc fabric developed by EXO2 is breathable, crush-proof, water-resistant, windproof and machine washable.

It has been designed to heat the kidney panel area for torso warmth and the material stretches for a comfortable fit under leathers or any jacket.

Power is provided either via a single wire connected to the bike's power supply or an optional rechargeable battery pack which is small, lightweight and can provide wireless power away from the bike for up to three hours. One of the first bikers to try out the new vest is John Macdonald, six times Scottish Motorcycle Road Race Champion and Honda UK, Suzuki UK team rider. He said: "Staying alert can mean staying alive. I could not believe the difference this heated vest was making." He added: "It is the much needed and welcome innovation we have been waiting for, and best of all, no wires!"
