The Voice Magazine Asks Readers “What is the Church?” - Answers Demonstrate Varied Understanding of Church Purpose

Hallandale, FL, July 18, 2005 --(PR.com)-- What is the purpose of the Christian Church? That is the subject of the July 2005 issue of The Voice magazine, an international Christian magazine launched to bring readers fresh revelation and prophetic insight into what the Spirit of God is saying and doing in this generation.

The Voice magazine conducted “man on the street” style interviews with every day Joes from coast to coast to help determine the nation’s perspectives of the Christian Church. The answers to the question “What is the Church?” were dramatically different, demonstrating the need for a renewed effort to take the Good News to the ends of the earth.

“We discovered that those who don’t attend church have a misconception of what the Church’s purpose is,” said Jonas Clark, publisher of The Voice magazine. “Even those who have attended a local church for many years somehow have a skewed understanding of why we gather together on Sundays. The primary purpose is to get equipped for the work of the ministry in the harvest fields.”

The Voice’s October issue is dedicated to reader education about the purpose of the Christian Church. Timely articles from some of Christianity’s most respected five-fold ministers, including Rick Joyner, Tony Miller, and David Coker, spell out the purpose of the church, the problems with the church, and the believer’s role in the local church.
