Ithaca, NY, January 22, 2010 --(PR.com
)-- Vision-Powered Planning is a process that uses both sides of the brain, the creative and the logical, to help people visualize their biggest goals and then create a strategic action plan to achieve them.
Entrepreneurs Carmen Munson, LMSW of Groton, NY-based Climb Higher, and Pamela Moss, PhD., of Ithaca-based Inner Vision Portraits, have joined forces to create the Vision-Powered Planning Retreat, a full-day retreat that combines creativity and visioning with strategic thinking and planning. The Vision-Powered Planning Retreat will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010, from 8:45 a.m., to 5:00 p.m. at Island Health and Fitness, 310 Taughannock Blvd. in Ithaca. The cost to attend is $179.00 per person, and advance registration is required by January 25. For more information or to register, visit www.visionpoweredplanning.com, or call 607-898-4126.
The Vision-Powered Planning process helps attendees identify the conscious and subconscious goals they’d like to achieve in their lives, work, and relationships, then create a vision-board (a collage of images and words) that represents those goals. The final step in the process is to create a strategic plan that’s broken down into small actions they can take to achieve them. Powerful visioning work combined with collaging a vision board, uses the creative side of the brain. Identifying goals, strategic thinking, and making an action plan use the brain's logical side.
Tracy Higginbotham, the President of Women TIES, www.womenties.com, a Syracuse, NY-based networking and support organization for women entrepreneurs, attended a previous Vision-Powered Planning retreat, and says, "Vision-Powered Planning is a Must! After we created our visioning board, we put together a strategic plan for our vision. We analyzed our strengths, resources, and opportunities and put together an action plan. I've never been more motivated in my life to achieve my "vision" for my life. It was a truly amazing experience."
Along with helping people gain clarity and confidence, the Vision-Powered Planning process also involves identifying limiting beliefs that hold people back and learning how to overcome those beliefs.
Munson says, "We’re combining the best planning tools, incorporating intuition and creativity for a whole-brain approach that’s proven to be very effective. People literally see their goals and dreams, and leave the retreat with a completed vision board and strategic plan."
Moss and Munson joined forces to create Vision-Powered Planning in 2009. Moss’ work emphasized the visioning process and making vision boards, while Munson was emphasizing strategic planning and coaching.
Moss says, "We joined forces to blend proven strategic planning tools with powerful vision board work – a unique approach that helps people create an inspiring vision for their life or business, and a strategic plan to get there. We call it "Vision-Powered Planning," and it’s all about how to see clearly what you want, and how to make it happen with confidence and ease."
