Marlborough 2010 Corporation to Hold Annual Meeting on January 27

Marlborough 2010 Corporation, the state chartered economic development corporation for the City of Marlborough, MA, will hold its annual meeting on January 27, 2010.

Marlborough, MA, January 23, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Marlborough 2010 Corporation will hold its annual meeting on January 27, 2010 at the Best Western hotel in Marlborough. Marlborough’s Mayor Nancy Stevens, a member of the board, will be in attendance and will provide opening remarks at the event. Marlborough 2010 Corporation Chairman Michael P. Hogan will present an Annual Report. Newly appointed Executive Director Marilyn Whalley will present her report including the renewed focus of the organization, the work plan and budget for the year 2010.

A highlight of the meeting will be the Marlborough 2010 Downtown Action Plan prepared in collaboration with Tufts University, which outlines recommendations for promoting downtown Marlborough as a dynamic, mixed-use destination in which residents and visitors alike congregate to live, work and play. The plan recommends low-cost, short-term initiatives to help revitalize the downtown area.
