San Diego, CA, July 19, 2005 --(PR.com)-- Gadget connoisseur’s HotGadget.com, lead by two San Diego State University graduates, take on the World Wide Web with their unique style and eclectic mix of gadgets and pop culture flair. Hotgadget.com gives gadget and pop culture lovers the opportunity to pick up distinctive gadgets and toys that can’t be found just anywhere. From ice shot glasses to internet CyberPhones, HotGadget.com promises to be never boring.

Recent San Diego State Grad’s Eric and Jennifer formed HotGadget.com after realizing that their normal 9-5 jobs just weren’t cutting it. One part business minded and one part self confessed nerds, they decided to merge the two things they love the most…pop culture and business. Both work at a San Diego technology company, and struck a deal with their boss that allowed them to use company resources to further expand HotGadget.com. “I couldn’t believe that our boss would let us use company resources for our little pipe dream. I mean, who says you have to fall in line”, said Jennifer.

The San Diego State Marketing alum’s realized that their dream of starting a webstore combining gadgets, pop culture toys & games, unique gifts, computer stuff, and a community atmosphere could be a reality. “Everyone thought we were wasting our time” said Eric, “But we know that there are people out there that will enjoy this stuff as much as we did. We want people to have a good laugh when they come to our site, and learn not to take life so seriously. ”

Items on HotGadget.com include everything from Milton Bradley toys & games, color changing clocks, push pin lamps, spy cameras, ice shot glasses, iPod accessories, remote controlled cars, and fitness gadgets, just to name a few. “It’s like a one stop shop…there is guaranteed to be something for everyone. We are always surprised by how different our customers are”, said Jennifer.

These two self confessed nerds are thrilled about the success of their site, and are thankful that their boss gave them this opportunity. “He is a nerd at heart too, and we are happy he is letting us pursue this…I mean, most companies wouldn’t dream of allowing their employees to pursue ‘side projects’ on company time”, said Eric.
