Trinity Academy of Raleigh Raises 10 Percent of Raleigh Rescue Mission’s Holiday Goal

Raleigh, NC, January 29, 2010 --( Dr. Robert Littlejohn, head of school at Trinity Academy of Raleigh (, a pre-K through 12 college preparatory school community located in North Raleigh, has announced that the school partnered with Raleigh Rescue Mission for a coat drive during the holidays. Trinity Academy of Raleigh collected enough coats to reach 10 percent of Raleigh Rescue Mission’s holiday goal, and exceeded their personal goal of collecting more than 400 gently-used or new winter coats. Trinity collected more than 400 coats as well as many hats, scarves and gloves, all benefiting Raleigh Rescue Mission.

“We are thankful to have been able to help the community by collecting these coats, and we are proud of our students for joining in the mission,” said Littlejohn. “It is such a rewarding feeling to know that we can help those in need, especially during the holidays, and in preparation for the coldest months of the year.”

- Raleigh Rescue Mission is a nonprofit, Christian organization that has been providing services to the poor and homeless for more than 45 years.

- Raleigh Rescue Mission rebuilds broken lives ministering to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of people. The Mission’s overall goal for the holiday coat drive was to collect 3,700 coats.
