CED Launches Mentoring Program for Entrepreneurs

Research Triangle Park, NC, January 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- CED, formerly the Council for Entrepreneurial Development (www.cednc.org), a private, nonprofit organization that promotes entrepreneurial efforts in the Triangle region of North Carolina, has announced the formal launch of its new Mentoring Program for Entrepreneurs. The program, a free service available to CED members, establishes a process to match experienced professionals that can bring fresh views to business issues as well as advise new entrepreneurs in need of guidance regarding decisions that will allow them to grow their businesses. Mentors also will support entrepreneurs in expanding their business network to connect with people and resources which can advance those startup companies.

- CED members wishing to take advantage of the program can fill out an application describing their business, expertise sought and desired goals from a mentoring relationship available via the CED Mentoring Program for Entrepreneurs Web site (www.cednc.org/mentor) and submit it to Bob Pickens (bpickens@cednc.org), along with two to three mentor requests from the list of available mentors found on the Web site.

- CED members interested in becoming mentors can complete the Mentor application at the CED Mentoring Program for Entrepreneurs Web site (www.cednc.org/mentor) and submit it to Bob Pickens (bpickens@cednc.org).

- The Mentoring Program for Entrepreneurs joins a list of other complementary programs provided to CED members, including CAFÉ, STREAK, Direct Connections and annual industry forums such as the Biotech and Venture conferences.
