ACCA Announces New Country Head for Singapore

London, United Kingdom, February 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- ACCA (The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Darryl Wee as its new Country Head for Singapore. Darryl takes over from Penelope Phoon with immediate effect. Penelope has been with ACCA Singapore since 2003 and leaves to pursue her personal interests.

Darryl brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in marketing, public relations, business development and human resource management to ACCA. Prior to joining ACCA, Darryl was Chief Commercial Officer of Nestronics Singapore where he identified business opportunities that increased revenue and focused on customer satisfaction. He also spent seven years at Agilent Technologies and held a number of roles where he developed and implemented specific marketing, business strategies and managed human resource issues. He was a Managing Consultant for five years at PA Consulting Group where he was in charge-of the performance and development of the Singapore Management Development Consultancy team. Darryl also spent two years in the public relations department first as a regional PR Manager and then as the Director of Public Relations at the Pan Pacific Hotel where he was responsible for marketing, advertising, and promotional activities of the hotel.

Darryl, who is fluent in English and Mandarin, holds a Masters of Business Administration from distinguished American institution, Rutgers University as well as a Master of Science from South Bank University in London.

In his role as ACCA Singapore Country Head, Darryl will be responsible for continuing to promote the ACCA Qualification as a premier qualification of choice as well work with key partners to carry on raising ACCA's presence and reputation in Singapore.
