Sportexe has the first FIFA approved 2-star synthetic turf system in North America.

Round Rock, TX, November 01, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Frank Clair Stadium at Landsdowne Park in Ottawa received the FIFA 2-Star rating for synthetic turf—this is a first for North America and a first for Sportexe. The Frank Clair Stadium is one of six locations that will host the Under-20 FIFA World Championships in 2007. Sportexe provided the synthetic turf system which was installed by Defargo Sports Surfacing.

The turf system installed in Frank Clair Stadium is the new BladeMaster™ by Sportexe®, which has met the testing requirements to qualify as a FIFA 2-Star recommended surface. The 2-Star certification is the highest level awarded by FIFA, the world governing body for soccer. The BladeMaster™ turf system features MonoTech™, a monofilament fiber that provides a look and feel similar to natural grass. The BladeMaster™ installed in Frank Clair Stadium also features a 100% rubber infill system that was designed to maximize speed and pace of play for the world’s largest sport.

Sportexe is committed to developing the world’s highest quality synthetic turf systems for soccer and is proud to be part of this historic occasion.
