Boston Gears Up to Welcome AIPMM Product Managers

Product Managers to gather for the Product Management Educational Conference at the Hyatt Harborside.

Sacramento, CA, November 02, 2006 --(PR.com)-- On November 8-10th, product managers and brand managers from leading Fortune 500 companies will gather at the Product Management Educational Conference East to network and learn. This successful educational conference has become an integral part of product management education. The PMEC, often imitated but never duplicated, is produced by the only association exclusively for global product managers spanning any industry – the Association of International Product Marketing & Management (AIPMM). As the industry authority on the role of product manager and the contribution of product management, the AIPMM is unrivaled in its ability to craft a conference for maximum benefit to working product managers.

Who are the best educators of product managers? Where can a new or a seasoned product manager go for insight, education and networking? Where can a product manager find all the tools, educators and cohorts to make the job easier? These things are the main focus behind the Product Management Educational Conference presented by the Association of International Product Marketing & Management.

This two-day conference has been a much-needed gathering place for the last four years – for not only new product managers - but also for seasoned veterans and those working in complementary roles. They all recognize the importance of effective product management. Attendees in the past have come from a variety of industries and companies including Microsoft, A T & T, Bank of America, Oracle, Gartner Group, Dow Chemical, Sankyo Pharma, McKesson, Symantec, and State Farm Insurance.

This conference is preceded by two pre-conference workshops taught by practicing product managers. The Help! I’m a Product Manager workshop will be taught by Mara Krieps and Linda Merrick of Pivotal Product Management. The workshop entitled Product Management – The Devil is in the Execution will be led by John Mansour of ZIGZAG Marketing and Product Management University.

Distinguished speaker faculty will include:
* Linda Gorchels, author of The Product Manager’s Handbook and Director of Executive Marketing Programs at the Management Institute of the University of Wisconsin's School of Business
* Mara Krieps CPM & Linda Merrick CPM, practicing product managers, instructors in University of Washington’s Software Product Management Certificate program and partners in Pivotal Product Management
