“Being An Expert Witness” and “Being Published As An Aid To Consultant’s Practice”; Subjects of IMC Monthly Meeting, November 28, 2006

IMC will offer dual subjects at their November 28 meeting discussing how to become an expert witness, and personal brand reputation building through publishing, featuring five prominent panel members.

Los Angeles, CA, November 10, 2006 --(PR.com)-- What an expert witness is and how to become an expert witness, and the value of being published as an aid to personal brand reputation building will be the dual subjects of the November meeting of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) to be held on Tuesday, November 28 at the Ayres Hotel (14400 Hindry Avenue, I-405 at Rosecrans Blvd.) in Hawthorne. A one hour workshop will begin at 4:30 p.m., followed by networking, and the dinner meeting will commence at 6 p.m.

Dinner Meeting: “Serving as an Expert Witness”

Being an expert witness and how to become an expert witness offers an invaluable opportunity for consultants to share their expertise in litigation proceedings while acquiring a new profit center and career if they so choose. Dan Poynter, a noted litigation consultant whose seminars have been featured on CNN and a legal media resource on matters relating to being an expert witness, will cover a wide range of subjects, including: what is an expert witness; how does one find clients; how much to charge; what to expect in the courtroom; how to prepare for testimony; how to become an expert witness and how to handle tough questions.

Workshop: “How Publishing Increases ‘Get Known’ and ‘Get Business’”

A distinguished panel of published authors will share their knowledge and expertise on publishing with attendees at the meeting. They will present information on the value of “being published” in terms of personal brand reputation building, building the name recognition, reputation and credibility of consultants as a means to enhance and expand their consulting practice. The panel will be moderated by IMC Board Member Mike Grimshaw and members will include:

- Don McNamara, President of Heritage Associates, Inc., a management consulting, training and coaching company, has authored books on visionary sales leadership and how to build superior sales organizations.

- Dan Poynter has produced more than 76 books and revisions which have been translated into a myriad of languages and have sold millions of copies, including several best sellers.
