AIA Michigan Design Awards Announced

Awards program designed to bring to public attention the value and importance of architectural excellence while recognizing those whose notable achievements encourage all to make excellence in architecture the standard.

Detroit, MI, May 26, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The American Institute of Architects Michigan (AIA Michigan. www.aiami.com) announced that 12 buildings have been singled out for design excellence at its annual Celebration of Architecture at the Book Cadillac Hotel in Detroit. Seventy-one projects were entered in the competition and judged by a panel of seven architects from across the United States. Carol Rusche Bentel, FAIA, from New York chaired the jury.

AIA Michigan, headquartered in the historic Beaubien House across from the Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit, established its awards program to bring to public attention the value and importance of architectural excellence and to recognize those whose notable achievements encourage all to make excellence in architecture the standard.
