Oberlin, OH, June 05, 2010 --(PR.com
)-- Chinese and Japanese Character learning company Inkren LLC (Skritter.com) publicly announces the appointment of Doug Sibley. Doug joined Inkren earlier this year, working behind the scenes to build a team, build marketing capabilities, draw in partners, and focus marketing communications.
Skritter plans to increase its marketing efforts and focus marketing communications around "characters" given the core of the company's product is overcoming the barrier of learning the characters that make up the Chinese and Japanese languages. Doug will work closely with George Saines, Skritter's CEO to execute these plans. Doug and George plan on stepping up marketing communications to raising product awareness and get opinion leader buy in. Doug will also have a key role in business development strategies.
Doug has worked at several other start-ups including some from the dot-com era and has lived and worked in four countries on three continents giving him valuable international perspective. Doug holds a Bachelor of Math in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo in Canada and a Master of Arts in Diplomacy from Norwich University in the United States.
