NewAge(R) Industries Once Again Honored as Finalist in "Top Small Company Workplaces" Contest

For the second year in a row, the plastic tubing manufacturer was selected as a finalist in a competition sponsored by Inc. magazine and Winning Workplaces(TM). NewAge was one of 40 finalist companies chosen from over 500 entrants. A national panel of experts in leadership noted that NewAge does not stand still with its product line. It continues to innovate and adapt to its customers' needs, and that contributes to its 56-year history of success.

Southampton, PA, June 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- For the second consecutive year NewAge Industries announces its selection as a finalist in the Top Small Company Workplaces competition sponsored by Inc. magazine and Winning Workplaces(TM), a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting small businesses. NewAge Industries was one of 40 finalist companies chosen from over 500 entrants.

The Top Small Company Workplaces competition is open to companies that meet specific criteria, such as having 500 or fewer employees, being independent (not a unit of a larger corporation), and being in business at least five years. A detailed application must be submitted, and a national panel of experts in leadership and small to mid-sized business then selects finalists. Customers and employees of the finalists are interviewed for further insight into each company under consideration.

This year’s panel noted “NewAge Industries has lived up to its name by reinventing itself from a distributor of plastic tubing to a manufacturer, to a premier provider of disposable pharmaceutical processing systems. Since its founding in 1954, this family-owned business has steadily followed its core values focusing upon customer appreciation, high ethical standards and sharing the wealth with employees. This formula has paid off. Today, NewAge is a modern lean operation with a tenured workforce known for its innovation, commitment and agility. This firm has consistently been profitable throughout its 56-year history with its share price steadily increasing.”

Ken Baker, NewAge’s CEO, says “It’s an honor to be selected as a finalist again in this competition. It helps validate our approach to superior customer service, treating employees well, and continually striving for improvement.”

NewAge serves a wide variety of industries and in recent years added cleanroom production facilities to manufacture items for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries sold under the AdvantaPure(R) brand. The company recently completed a second expansion of its cleanrooms in order to meet customer demand for the high purity molded silicone manifolds, tubing, and hose manufactured there.
