Supporting Corporate Growth: Fortitech, Inc. Adds Additional Technical and Sales Staff

Global nutrient premix company adds staff to spur additional corporate growth.

Schenectady, NY, December 15, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Fortitech, Inc., the world leader in the manufacture of custom nutrient premixes, has experienced steady growth over the past several years. To ensure that Fortitech’s long-standing commitment and dedication to quality products continues, the corporation has added 3 technical staff and an additional sales manager to its workforce.

Recently joining the laboratory as formulation scientists are Alejandra Gratson and Kevin Krall. Gratson earned a doctorate in nutritional sciences from the University of Illinois and bachelor’s/master’s degrees in food chemistry from Ludwig-Maximilians-University located in Munich, Germany. Most recently, Gratson worked as a research/teaching assistant at the University of Illinois where she focused on cloning, expression, biochemical characterization and dehydrogenases. Fluent in Spanish and German languages, Gratson is also an active member of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) and the American Society for Nutrition (ASN). Kevin Krall earned a bachelor’s degree in food science from Pennsylvania State University, also minored in biochemistry and molecular biology. Krall recently held a laboratory technician position with Turkey Hill Dairy where he specialized in flavor/application analysis and sample plating. As formulators with Fortitech, Gratson and Krall will both be, in part, working with customers to design customized nutrient premixes for finished food products and offer complete technical support as required.

Fortitech has added depth to its quality control department by adding Sharlene Grenier as a quality control assistant. Grenier is responsible for the release of each premix and ensuring that each order meets or exceeds Fortitech’s long-standing dedication to quality and accuracy. In addition, Grenier accumulates laboratory data, reviews lab reports and prepares complete Certificates of Analysis for customers. Grenier received an associate in science degree, with honors, from Schenectady County Comm. College in Schenectady, New York.

Plus, to address its fast-growing premix business in the United States and Canada, Fortitech has added an additional regional sales manager by hiring Dana Brown. Responsible for the United States’ Mid-Atlantic, upper Midwest regions and part of Canada, Brown will focus on new business development, strategic sales marketing and key account management within those territories. Brown, who possesses a very strong knowledge of the food and nutrition industry, earned a bachelor’s of science degree in business from the University of Indiana.
