Burglar Can’t Hide from Sonitrol Pacific Operator, K9 Unit

Seattle, WA, August 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Police officers arrested one man when responding to Sonitrol Pacific’s detection of a burglary in progress at a Seattle business August 5.

Operator Kris Etheridge received security system activations from Budd & Co., Inc. just after 2:00 a.m., but didn’t hear a threat over the audio sensors. She dispatched a security guard to check out what was happening at the building. While the guard was en route, Etheridge continued to receive alerts.

Once on scene, the guard spotted someone inside the building and asked Etheridge to call police and someone from the business to let police inside.

Police took a K9 unit inside Budd & Co. to track down the suspected burglar. The dog promptly located the man and officers arrested him.

According to police, the suspect entered the business through an open window using a ladder. The response to Sonitrol Pacific’s verified alarm was so fast, nothing was taken and no damage was done.
