Dallas, TX, August 23, 2005 --(PR.com
)-- Shroud of Echoes, the NetFilmz project starring Glenn Morshower and filmed in Dallas, will premiere on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 11th, 2005 at 6:30PM. Deviating from typical premieres, the independent film will launch simultaneously at BOTH ANGELIKA FILM CENTERS in the Dallas area.
The premiere announcement comes shortly after the terrorist attacks in London, events that sparked both interest and controversy in regards to the film’s content. Shroud of Echoes tells the story of U.S. Marine Sergeant Ryan Wesloh, a man who finds himself traveling home from Iraq newly wed to Nia, a Muslim woman who was raised in Britain. “Shroud of Echoes is a story that is truly unique. Although captivating and controversial, the content is still objective, forcing audiences to come to their own conclusions,” states Writer/Director Scot Hunt.
Moviegoers will also have a chance to give back while attending the premiere events. NetFilmz and Grow PR & Marketing have partnered with the Fallen Patriot Fund, a local organization that supports families who have lost loved ones to the war in Iraq. A hefty percentage of ticket sales will be donated to the fund, which is headed by local icons Mark and Brian Cuban. “Community perception played a huge role in every aspect of our 9/11 premiere plans,” comments Marketing Director Christina Alexandra. “With such sensitive subject matter, benefiting the Fallen Patriot Fund was essential. This is a chance for everyone to support the families who have given the ultimate sacrifice.”
The premiere events will feature multiple viewings and will take place at both the Angelika Dallas at Mockingbird Station and the Angelika Plano in The Shops at Legacy.
