Community Partner Program Supports Local Nonprofit

Raleigh, NC, October 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Lori K. Lee, founder of Me Fine Foundation, Inc. (http://www.mefinefoundation.org), has announced that the nonprofit received a $1,000 grant from the Wachovia Wells Fargo Foundation, a community partner program. Me Fine was chosen by Wachovia’s Middle Creek Team in support of the organization’s continued efforts to provide financial assistance to parents and caregivers sacrificing their livelihoods in order to provide their children with state-of-the-art or last-chance medical treatment at Duke and UNC Children’s Hospitals.

- Since 2004, Me Fine has provided financial assistance to more than 450 families. Additionally, the organization has received more than $250,000 in donated goods or services such as Christmas gifts, diapers, plane tickets, gas money and food. All donations are used to aid the families and caretakers of children being treated for various illnesses, regardless of diagnosis, to ease the financial burden that medical expenses place on caregivers.
