The Zane Foundation Acknowledges Its 2010 Scholarship Recipients

New Haven, CT, October 23, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Christopher Zane, President of Zane’s Cycles in Branford, takes great pride in announcing the five 2010 Zane Foundation scholarship recipients, each of whom will receive a $1000 scholarship to supplement the cost of their higher education. Students selected have shown exemplary academic achievements during their high school career as well as displaying character and citizenship in the community. All the recipients are residents of Branford and have graduated from Branford High School.

Recipients of the scholarships are: Monica Ague; attending Yale University; Aastha Acharya; a student at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, Caitlin M. O’Neill; currently attending Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, Eric Nemarich; a student at Georgetown University in Washington D.C, Alexa Sanna; now attending the University of Connecticut.

The Zane Foundation was created to award yearly scholarships to the top graduating students at Branford High School. This year the Zane Foundation awarded $5000 in scholarships. Since founded in 1992, The Zane Foundation has awarded $95,000 in scholarships to local students.
