Louisville, KY, November 11, 2010 --(PR.com
)-- The Learning House, Inc., an online education solutions partner, was awarded the 29th position on the Business First Fast 50 list. The Fast 50 list ranks Louisville’s fastest-growing companies by sales growth from 2007 to 2009.
Despite the fact that the measuring period of 2007 to 2009 took place during the latest recession, Learning House has benefited from the economic downturn and has grown substantially over the past several years.
“The higher education sector is benefiting from the current economic stimulus as increases in federal aid, grants and tax credits help individuals pursue their degrees,” said David T. Richardson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Learning House. “Higher education is also counter-cyclical, which means that enrollments grow in a down economy.”
The need for colleges to offer online degree programs during a period of recession is evident in the client growth that Learning House has experienced over the past few years. In 2007, Learning House worked with 32 colleges and universities, but by the end of 2009, Learning House had grown to partner with 72 schools. Now, Learning House works with more than 85 colleges and universities across the world.
“The ability to provide a niche service to help deliver online degree programs and additional services to colleges and universities throughout the world is key to our company’s growth,” said Richardson. “We attribute much of our success to our clients’ willingness to adapt as well as our employees’ exceptional customer service.”
The Fast 50 recognition is just one of the acknowledgements Learning House has received this year. In April, Learning House was named to the High Impact Portfolio, a program that identifies the top fast-growth companies in the Louisville Metro area. In addition, Learning House ranked 1,966 on the 2010 Inc. 5000 list.
