John McQueen of Anderson-McQueen Family Tribute Centers Elected to the APFSP Board of Trustees
St. Petersburg, FL, November 19, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Anderson-McQueen Family Tribute Centers is proud to announce John T. McQueen, CFSP, has been elected to serve as on the Board of Trustees of the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. The Academy membership elects new Board of Trustees members for a term of six years. Mr. McQueen was installed to the Board of Trustees on October 12, 2010 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
John is a Lifetime member of the Academy who is the co-owner and Chief Operations Officer of the Anderson-McQueen Family Tribute Centers in St. Petersburg, Florida. He is also an Adjust Instructor at St. Petersburg College, co-owner and President of Sunnyside Cemetery, Inc. and Founder/Managing Partner of FuneralReview.com. John’s educational background is extensive with degrees from Saint Leo University, St. Petersburg College, Gupton-Jones College and undergraduate studies at the University of Tampa.
Incorporated in 1976, the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice is one of the oldest organizations providing a program for professional certification in the United States. With almost 2,000 members worldwide, 1,425 of whom have achieved the designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner, the Academy offers a voluntary certification program for funeral service practitioners to accomplish educational, professional, and community oriented goals in an organized fashion, recognizing funeral directors who raise and improve the standards of funeral service.
