ACTLean and Schuh & Company Now Recognized as Approved Lean Bronze Certification Facilitator and Trainer

ACTLean and Schuh & Company are pleased to announce their approval by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) as a Lean Bronze Certification Review Facilitator and Trainer.

Lawrenceville, GA, November 26, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Lean Certification is a benchmark for achievement and personal growth in Lean. Designed by three organizations – the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) and The Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence – this alliance has established the standard for continuous improvement and Lean practices. In 2010, the American Society for Quality (ASQ) joined this collaborative alliance, which truly aligns these leading organizations to a single standard for Lean Certification, providing manufacturers and their supply chains with a roadmap for workforce development.

As a Lean Bronze Certification Review Facilitator, ACTLean’s goal is to provide a solid understanding of basic lean principles and tools, as well as instruct on tactical implementation projects that drive improvements and show measurable results, allowing participants to successfully complete the Lean Bronze Certification Exam.
As part of the Lean Bronze Certification, ACTLean will teach Lean Methodologies from a tactical viewpoint within the following key modules as identified in the Lean Body of Knowledge provided by SME / AME / ASQ / Shingo Prize:

· Cultural Enablers (15%)
· Continuous Process Improvements (60%)
· Consistent Lean Enterprise Culture (10%)
· Business Results (15%)
