DFW AMA Wins Recognition in National Competition

The American Marketing Association bestows honors to the DFW Chapter.

Dallas, TX, November 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Dallas Fort Worth chapter of the American Marketing Association (DFW AMA) announced today that it has received two Special Merit Awards from the organization’s international headquarters.

The AMA’s annual Chapter Excellence Awards program highlights exceptional performance among the organization’s 76 professional chapters across the U.S. and Canada. Of these 76 chapters, the DFW Chapter was recognized for its outstanding Programming and Membership Committees.

The DFW AMA Membership Committee is charged with growth and retention of the local membership base, and the Programming Committee is responsible for more than 60 events that the chapter hosts per year.

“As a Special Merit winner, we feel great responsibility, not only to our own members, but to the marketing community as a whole in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex,” commented the chapter’s current President, Tom Dennis. “It is our job to provide excellent programming and networking opportunities for our members and guests to elevate the prestige and credibility of the marketing profession in our area. This honor empirically proves that the work our chapter puts is both noticed and appreciated.

"With over 650 members, 14 board members, and 100 volunteers we have been able to accomplish some incredible things together,” he went on to say. “It is very fulfilling to be a part of such a well established and well respected marketing organization as the DFW AMA. I'm thrilled that we have been recognized with this honor, and I know that our volunteers will continue to drive towards future excellence."
