DirectRooms.com – Children Get a Dedicated Day of Celebrations in Hua Hin

DirectRooms.com reveals that children in Hua Hin and all over Thailand will be celebrating a special day dedicated to themselves at the start of January.

Hua Hin, Thailand, December 16, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Children’s Day is celebrated every year in Thailand and just like mother and father’s days is time to do something special for loved ones. In 2011 Children’s Day will take place on 8th January and schools and local authorities in Hua Hin will be holding special activities for the students.

Many government offices are involved with the celebrations and this year the army will be working with school teachers to organise a series of games and competitions which will be held on the field near Ratchata School. On the field will be a number of games and fairground rides along with the chance to buy toys, colourful balloons and sweets.

The day is seen as an important event across the country as the Thai people recognise that children are the future of the country and a well known motto states that ‘if the children are intelligent, the country will be prosperous.’

Many parents will be taking time off to be with their children on the day and many people use the time to go away which will increase the demand for Hua Hin hotels as families head to the coast.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: “Children’s Day is a busy time in Hua Hin as people head to the beach and sea. Rooms in the area will be close to full occupancy so booking early is advisable for anyone visiting the city.”
