Local Print Industry Recognized for Excellence

Multi-Craft Brings Home Most Gold Awards Ever

Newport, KY, January 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Printing Industries of Ohio and N. Kentucky just announced the winners of the annual Print Excellence Award Competition. The association recognizes printers in the region that demonstrate excellence in 34 categories. This year, member companies submitted nearly 500 printed pieces judged by an expert panel.

“Difficult times often bring out the best in people and that was certainly the case with the 2011 Award entries. As the quality of entries continue to get better, judging becomes more difficult, but our highly experienced and professional panel was great,” said Association President Jim Cunningham.

Multi-Craft brought home an impressive ten awards in total for 2011. The company was also the proud recipient of a record number of gold awards in Multi-Craft history, accounting for seven of their ten awards. They scored in seven different categories including: Calendars, Digital Printing, Self-Mailers, Self-Advertising, and Pocket Folders, Corporate Communication and Non-hardbound books.

“These awards represent a great display of work from local companies every year. Being recognized is an honor we are proud to share with our clients who deserve a great deal of credit for these projects, “said Multi-Craft President Deborah Simpson.

The pieces from the Southern Region will be on display January 22nd at a banquet at Kenwood Country Club where attendees will select the People’s Choice Award, which Multi-Craft hopes to be awarded for a second consecutive year.

Additionally, each of the gold award winners in the regional competition are entered in an association-wide competition for Best of Category prizes to be determined in August at the Grand Ceremony held in Columbus, Ohio.
