Indy Guitarist Denis Taaffe Completes 47 Minute Film Rock-u-mentary Available Online for Free Viewing

Denis made it himself with no budget.

Bloomington, IN, September 15, 2005 --(PR.com)-- Indy Guitarist Denis Taaffe completes 47 minute film rock-u-mentary available online for free viewing. Consumer computer technology has made it possible for independent guitarist Denis Taaffe, who uses regular guitar and guitar loops done on the fly, to create a 47 film rock-umentary that up until now, was reserved for well known major label talent with lots of financial backing. The 47 minute 1999 interview originally filmed on a hi-8 analog consumer grade film camera was transfered to PC and enhanced with animated still images, photos, webpage stills and live concert footage as well as titles and ample amounts of transitions that give it a prfessional touch. The result is a truly entertaining rock-u-mentary.

Denis discusses the early years of learning to play guitar to recording his first debut CD Modern rock guitar vol. I 'Abducted by Aliens '. Denis also discusses his discovery and approach to guitar loops done on the fly which sets him apart from the average guitarist. Denis also dicusses playing live which is supported by many live concert video clips as well as his own narration. The orginal interview was doen by Chuck Terrell, a long time friend of Denis Taaffe. Denis was originally going to do the 1999 interview for a self produced instrucitonal video tape which never materialized. Interestingly, It resurfaced in 2005 and one must remember, that, in 1999 Denis had just released his debut CD and discovered looping. So it is intersting to hear Denis, excited at the prospects of his first CD's success and his discovery / approach to using guitar loops.

The film also is a gold mine of rare unreleased Guitarist Denis Taaffe music tracks including demo tapes, practice tapes, unreleased tracks and alternate versions of album tracks. All in all, this is a rock-u-mentary worth watching as it is entertaining, musician or not. When you take into consideration that unlike many low to high budget projects which are not as intersting or entertaining, it was done by one person with no budget, the rock-u-mentary is destined to be a classic and worthy of mention. Best of all, it can be viewed online in 4 parts because of it's size and is for the moment FREE (though expect that to change as it gains popularity) at http://www.dtguitar.com/buyvideo.html.
