Kapp Alloy CEO to Run for Technology

Oil City, PA, March 24, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Kapp Alloy & Wire, a leading solder, spraywire, and Babbitt manufacturer located in Oil City, PA, will watch Kapp President and CEO Jack Crawford run the Pittsburgh half marathon on May 15th.

Crawford isn’t just running the half-marathon for the competition, however. He is running to raise money for the Venango Catholic High School technology department. Crawford is a Venango Catholic High School parent who has been a casual jogger most of his life. Crawford noted, “I’ve never run 13 miles before, but this is a great reason to try. Our schools are constantly purchasing new technology. Contributions will help our children succeed.” Crawford did note that another motivation is turning 50. “If I don’t try it now, I may never do it.”

If you are interested in contributing to the pledge drive, officially titled “See Jack Run,” you can pledge in two ways. You can fill out a pledge drive form at any Venango Catholic Preparatory School (St. Patrick School, St. Stephen School, and Venango Catholic High School), or you can pledge online at the Venango Catholic High School website,
www.venangocatholic.org/seejackrun.php. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Venango Catholic High School technology department.

The Pittsburgh half marathon begins at 7am on May 15th, and runners will race on the North Shore of Pittsburgh, cross each of the three rivers, and travel through the South Side before continuing back through the streets of downtown Pittsburgh to the finish line.
