Memorial Hermann to Automate Recall Processing Using RASMAS Service

Texas-based Health Care System Chooses Noblis' Risk and Safety Management Alert System (RASMAS) to Improve Recall Safety

Falls Church, VA, February 24, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Noblis announced today that Memorial Hermann Health System has adopted the Risk and Safety Management Alert System (RASMAS) to automate its product recall management processes.

RASMAS provides comprehensive notification, distribution, and management of product recalls and safety notices for virtually all products used in hospitals and medical settings. RASMAS’ work tracking features and real-time reporting give management centralized oversight of the alert management process across the organization.

“RASMAS has really been a tremendous service for our facilities,” states Memorial Hermann RASMAS Manager, Bobby Cates. “We recently completed a Post-Implementation Review and found that RASMAS gave us insights that we simply did not have through manual recall management. We are now able to run with that information and continue to drive process improvement throughout Memorial Hermann.”

RASMAS is currently in use in hospitals and healthcare system throughout the United States and Canada. Subscribers report that RASMAS improves patient safety by streamlining the alert processing workflow and decreasing the number of days that potentially dangerous products remain available for use.

“Patient safety outcomes can be a tough thing to measure,” says Cates. “It’s rare to be able to implement a patient safety service that is, not only, embraced by the staff, but that demonstrates true improvement in the quality of care that we deliver to our patients. RASMAS has pleasantly exceeded our expectations.”
