)-- Seth Kahan led a 90-minute training session, “Seth Kahan on Consulting: Acquiring Executive Clients” on Friday, March 25 at Chef Tony’s Restaurant in Bethesda, MD. There were 29 independent consultants and entrepreneurs in attendance.
Kahan, a successful consultant in the Washington, DC area, has worked with over 100 leaders of private sector organizations, government agencies, and associations (see http://bit.ly/KahanClientList). He shared tips to a full room of Washington, DC consultants on how to succeed as an independent consultant based on his extensive experience.
Session topics covered strategies and tactics to acquire executive clients, including techniques on preparation, meeting and engaging executives, negotiating contracts, and relationship development.
Kahan provided key resources, both free and fee-based to help consultants improve their effectiveness marketing to leaders. Chef Tony Marciante provided the menu. Marciante is a 23-year veteran of food and the former executive chef at the Bethesda McCormick & Schmick's. Marciante provided a special prix fixe menu of $15 per person for attendee. No other charge was required for the event.
