New Technology Company Helps Wausau Businesses with More Than Computers

Wausau, WI, April 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- In our tech driven society, it can be difficult for small businesses to embrace and implement all the solutions they need to stay competitive. Time and financial constraints impede many small business owners from keeping their technology current and operating at a peak performance. The need for cost-effective tech support inspired Justan Brandt and Clare Tange to launch WausauIT.

Technology has come a long way and both partners agreed that their is more to IT than computers. In fact, Princeton's WordNet defines information technology (IT) as "the branch of engineering that deals with the use of computers and telecommunications to retrieve and store and transmit information."

It was this basic understanding that led Brandt and Tange to launch an IT consulting firm that handled all aspects of IT, and not just computers. Dedicated to small businesses, WausauIT offers services for social media, cloud computing, VoIP, servers, computers, networking and more.

“There is a need among small business owners for cost effective tech support and consulting. Paying $100 per hour for repair and service is ludicrous and leaves many businesses patching their solutions back together,” says Brandt. “And hiring a full-time IT professional isn’t worth the investment for many small businesses.”

Offering a wide array of tech support and consulting isn’t the only thing that makes WausauIT different from the average computer repair shop. They also work on a flat fee. There are no hourly fees, no hidden charges and no unexpected invoices. Monthly fees, for businesses with 25 or fewer employees, range from $250 to $350 per month and includes unlimited IT consulting, support and project management.

“Our flat fee helps small businesses budget their IT expenses and allows them to explore new technology with the support of professionals,” says Tange.

WausauIT is also forging relationships with other local companies, like advertising agencies, web hosting providers and internet marketers that can provide their clients with additional services and solutions at the best possible rates.

WausauIT will also be offering free IT training sessions in the near future. The plans call for these sessions to cover cloud computing, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, networking, integrating Mac and Windows computers, backups, antivirus and much more. Updates for these training sessions will be posted to the WausauIT Twitter page, http://twitter.com/wausauit.

WausauIT will be holding an open house Thursday April 14th, 2011 between 12 and 5 pm at 408 3rd Street Ste 209 Wausau, WI 54403. Their offices are located on the second floor of the Grand View Office Suites, above Malarkey’s and Yao’s Grand Dragon.
