Stacy Danahy Honored as Health Care Leadership Award Winner

Scottsdale, AZ, April 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Bill Horne, CEO of Laser Spine Institute (http://www.laserspineinstitute.com), the leader in endoscopic spine surgery, has announced that Stacy Danahy, director of nursing for Laser Spine Institute’s Scottsdale facility, has won the Arizona Health Care Leadership Award (HCLA) in the field of Nurses and Nursing Advocates. Danahy was recognized at the AzBusiness magazine Health Care Leadership Awards ceremony held on March 8 at the Ritz Carlton in Phoenix. The HCLA recognizes professionals in the healthcare industry who are dedicated to bringing quality health care to patients in Arizona. Danahy manages a clinic staff of eight people and a professional staff of 18, and has been a nurse at Laser Spine Institute since the Scottsdale location opened its doors in Jan. of 2009. As director of medical operations, she is directly responsible for managing risk and quality control, answering questions from patients and staff, determining efficiency in surgery and the clinic as a whole, and handling patients of concern. A strong advocate for patient safety and comfort, she ensures her staff is highly trained and competent in their respective jobs and go above and beyond to meet the emotional needs of patients.
