The Remi Group Promotes COO to President

Charlotte, NC, April 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Dan Schuster, CEO of The Remi Group, LLC, recently announced the promotion of Brent Howison to the role of President. Brent Howison will replace Ron Calhoun, who is leaving The Remi Group to assume the role of AON Managing Director, National Healthcare Practice Leader. Ron Calhoun joined The Remi Group in 2007 with the specific goal of utilizing his extensive brokerage experience and sales management expertise to build a highly effective, flexible, and consistent production platform for the business. “Ron has made an enormous contribution to revitalizing our strategic broker and independent agent relationships. Because of Ron’s past experience and expertise in the commercial insurance industry, new alliances and partnerships have been built and successfully maintained,” said Schuster. “As we close 2010 with our biggest production year in the history of the company, relative to both gross written and net growth, we are all very excited for Ron and look forward to working with him as he assumes his new role with AON.”

Brent Howison is one of the founding members of The Remi Group and has held a number of key positions since the company’s inception, including Chief Operating Officer since 2007. Over the past decade, Brent has been highly effective in developing both the sales and operational sides of the organization. “Brent has the unique ability to fully explore and implement new business initiatives, while providing an extreme focus on core business functions. His experience in the industry, attention to detail, and strategic view of the business makes Brent the ideal candidate to assume the role of President,” adds Schuster.
