)-- Rio Roses announces the launch of its Mother’s Day Video contest, which will accept video submissions via Facebook through April 21, 2011. The contest calls for individuals to send in a short video answering five questions on what makes their Mom, or another Mom in their life, extraordinary and why they deserve to receive Rio Roses for an entire year. Rio Roses will send free roses every month for a full year to the Mom nominated in the Grand Prize winning video.
“This is the second year we host a Mother’s Day Contest,” said Marc Blatchley, Marketing Director at Rio Roses. “Last year we received so many entries of wonderful, deserving moms, and we hope that this year even more people will send in their touching stories.”
Video entries must be under 2 minutes in length and submitted to facebook.com/rioroses. The contest is open to individuals age 18 or older that reside in the United States. Multiple entries will be accepted. All video submissions must be received by midnight on April 21, 2011.
Public voting will begin from April 22 to May 2 and anyone with a Facebook account can vote for their favorites. The top 5 videos will be reviewed by a Rio Roses panel and judged for originality, creativity and overall impression of the story/idea portrayed in the video.
Rio Roses will announce the winners on May 6, 2011. One lucky Mom will receive four dozen Rio Roses every month for a year (Grand Prize). Another Mom will receive four dozen Rio Roses on her birthday (Second Place). For full contest rules visit facebook.com/rioroses.
