Clear Computing Releases GPS-Relay iPhone App

Tinton Falls, NJ, April 15, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Clear Computing, developer of the Total Activity Control (TAC) operations management system, today announced their new iPhone App, GPS-Relay, which adds location and date/time confirmation to their Stop-By-Stop Driver Reporting feature.

GPS-Relay, available at the iPhone App Store, takes advantage of the iPhone’s location services to send the driver’s latitude, longitude and street address with the date and time when the driver sends work status information back to the office.

“This is all part of Clear Computing’s strategy to Go Green with low-cost, easy-to-use features,” said Joel Smith, Clear Computing Technology Officer. “We already support electronic work order and service route messages between office and drivers. Now, drivers using the GPS-Relay iPhone app will timestamp their location with every status update they send. This is a real breakthrough in service verification.”

GPS-Relay is fast and simple to use. The driver just clicks a work status button in the iPhone email message, and GPS-Relay automatically opens with GPS coordinates, date and time and map location in the message. In addition, using default application settings for email recipients, GPS-Relay can be used whenever the driver wishes to quickly send a message back to the office., right from the iPhone home screen.

A full history of driver status information is maintained in TAC with no extra clerical effort. This history includes the driver’s name, location, actual date and time of status message, and status of work with optional text.
