San Ramon, CA, May 13, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Sunflower Systems recently introduced new Asset Configuration and Mobile Configuration functionality into their Enterprise Asset Management Solution. Sunflower’s ever-growing toolset of solutions provides a wider range of functionality for customers than any other Asset Management tool in the market.

Sunflower’s Asset Configuration functionality allows organizations to build complex asset configurations, based on templates, and store configuration structure and asset component information within those configurations. Organizations are able to perform asset configuration transactions on the Sunflower web forms as well as on a mobile app for hand-held scanners. With this functionality organizations are able to create and manage configurations and kits while utilizing the asset record data that is already stored within the system.

By enabling organizations to manage all lifecycle transactions in one system, including the tracking of configuration and kit information, the utilization of Sunflower’s software allows for transparency into asset related data not only on an individual item level, but also on a relational level between groupings of assets.

The ability to create and manage configured assemblies in Sunflower not only adds a new level of granularity and insight into how assets fit together, but also enables end users to see exactly how the configuration is built. According to Senior Vice President of Solutions, Jeffrey Polyak, “This configuration structure, whether viewed on the web, the scanner, or on an uploaded configuration diagram, gives organizations the ability to know and see exactly how their configured assemblies are constructed; this knowledge will lead the way for process improvements and refinements related to how we all construct and manage what we have.”
