The NC Center for Women in Public Service Names Annette Taylor as Executive Director

New Leadership Announced for Nonprofit Organization That Prepares Women for Elected and Appointed Offices Statewide

Raleigh, NC, June 05, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The NC Center for Women in Public Service (NCCWPS) (http://www.nccwps.org), a nonpartisan organization that prepares women for elected and appointed offices statewide, has named Annette Taylor as the new executive director, a role in which she will guide the direction of the organization. With a professional background reflecting her commitment to philanthropy and nonprofits, Taylor served as program manager with the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation for nearly three years before joining NCCWPS. Having earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from North Carolina Central University, Taylor is completing a master’s in Organizational Leadership from Pfeiffer University. A native of Laurinburg, N.C., she resides in Morrisville with her husband, Mark, and their two children.

- Taylor’s previous engagements include roles at Foundation For the Carolinas in Charlotte, and prior to that, she worked at MDC, Inc., a nonprofit think tank in Chapel Hill. She is involved in various philanthropic, faith-based and community initiatives including the Hispanics in Philanthropy NC Funders’ Collaborative for Latino Communities, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, NCGives, the Volunteer Center of Durham and the Orange Grove Missionary Baptist Church. .
