)-- “Drew” Grant brings over 25 years of experience in Federal and Commercial markets. He is a 1981 graduate from the USAF Academy with a B.S. Computer Science and he also earned a M.A. degree in National Security Studies from Georgetown University. While in the Air Force, Mr. Grant’s initial assignments were in Washington, DC. Initially, he worked as an Operations Research Analyst for the Federal Computer Performance Evaluation and Simulation Center in Alexandria, VA. FEDSIM, then a USAF Facility, provided cost reimbursable technology services to all departments of the Federal Government. In particular, Mr. Grant worked on projects for the Air Force, Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Supply Command and the Defense Logistics Agency. Specific accomplishments included the NAVAIR Trainer Systems Study and the development of the “Alternative Nuclear Disarmament Simulation Model” for the office of Air Force Studies and Analyses.
Subsequently, Drew was assigned to the Pentagon, where he was a member of the Air Staff’s, Congressional Activities Division, within the office of Air Force Research and Development. His role was to provide a liaison role between the Air Staff and Capitol Hill. Drew supported a number of Congressional Hearings before the House and Senate Armed Services Committees as well as the House and Senate Appropriations Committees.
After military service, Drew continued to work for several years in the Federal Market around the D.C. Beltway. Since that time, Drew has expanded his Sales and Marketing experience into commercial markets that include: JD Edwards Software, Siebel Systems, and Texas Instruments Software. He also has had experience in leading several technology startups that include the development of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions and the licensing and resale of Intellectual Property from International firms. Drew has participated in several “Road Shows” during the process of raising venture capital for three of the startups.
“I am excited about the long term prospects of KLSS. With the foundation of existing contracts in place and the vision of the senior management team, I am convinced that we can collectively grow revenues in both Federal and Commercial Markets. By further diversifying KLSS’ revenue base, there is an extremely bright future for this company. We will aggressively pursue opportunities tied to our existing strengths of logistics and IT services, but seek to expand into adjacent markets that will leverage rapidly expanding markets seen in the Commercial sector. I anticipate we will provide these new found company capabilities into both Federal and Commercial clients.”
This is another of their recent strategic moves designed to continue to support the present as well as future growth of the organization.
