)-- Pentegra Systems LLC has been awarded the Association of Subcontractors and Affiliates (ASA) Safety Award for 2010 by the ASA Chicago Chapter. Only 58 companies qualified to receive the award for 2010. The safety award recognizes that Pentegra had incident rates for 2010 that were below their three year composite incident rate. Pentegra had no OSHA recordable incidents in over 73,000 man hours worked.
In 2010 Pentegra implemented a number of initiatives to increase safety, both on, and off the job site. Bill Burns, Chairman of the Pentegra Safety Committee attributes Pentegra’s safety success in 2010 to increased awareness throughout the company. According to Burns, “New safety initiatives, including additional training, safety reminders on job boxes and safety-themed apparel for the field technicians, provide constant reminders that safety is everyone’s job.”
